This week mostly about HazMat . HazMat has like the coolest suits to offer . probably 2nd to Resident Evil . hahaha

Monday
We had HazMat lecture in the morning . Mostly about Chemical Agents and their operating procedures . It was quite interesting learning about how the signs mean and their concentration levels .

Introducing the TrellChem Limited Use Suit (TLUS) aka teletubby suit ! cos our suit sorta inflats over time and it's real cute =P . Ours come in green with yellow color boots .


As uu can see in the picture, there's a red teletubby behind; dat's a HazMat Specialist :)

Then we were taught to don the Chemical Agent (CA) suit . The materials' abit thick cos its made from carbonated charcoal to purge off nasty chemicals dat seeped thru the suit . We're like some G-Unit or something ..

Tuesday
CA Endurance Test ! After going through BAPT, wadh the heck is endurance test ?
While wearing the CA suit;;
- 50 situp
- 2x64mm 50m dash
- 100m Stretcher drill with Big John
- 50m Buddy FiremanLift (lucky my buddy was like 52kg lol!)
- 300m Jog
- Gas Chamber


By right ... we had to do 5BX inside the teargas chamber followed by answering some question . but then dunno why we never kenna . All of us went inside after the 300m jog and sat down .

BTM said 9 tablets was enough but rumors say (dunno who spread one), we're only taking 3 tablets; which is like HAHAHAH . Dapat tahu - 10 tablets ! kiwak . After the tablets was diffused in the air, we had the take off our hood first and it really stings !!! tapi lame2 its like not so pain . but the first few seconds - horrible . Second, take off our facemask and name the 4 Chemical Agents . One by one choking and the face look very sick uhh .

So it was my turn, i just had to sayy Blister Agent . But when i took off my mask, i forgot wadh to say ... then sgt grab my shoulder and shakingly ask me wadh's the agent . Finally i remember and that was like 15secs+ later lol .

Outside, everyone was like "WTF? like that only? no kick ah !" (chey kononnye dah kuat lah tu) . To me, i've never been inside a gas chamber before . and to kenna the gas was like an experience to me .. who cares if its for like 5secs inside ?

After lunch was lecture on 8 detectors .. pretty dry stuff till dinner .

Wednesday
Chemical Agent Operating Procedure (CAOP)
We were taught about how to strip open the casualty right down to the underwear using Big John as the dummy . Damn it would be cool to cut a $300 shirt just for CA lol .

Next, we learned how to setup the boundary zones using the detectors yesterday . Most of us kinda blank but we just followed wadh the HazMat guy says .

After lunch we had a visit to Tuas Fire Station - more to HazMat Stn than Fire Stn . There we learned all those appliances yang tak pernah dengar/gune .. mostly HazMat things uhh .

Thursday
HazMat Operating Procedure in the Light Decon Suit (LDS)
The suit .. was kinda geli . When i got mine, it was wear and the smell reeks ! one thing i hate bout the suits is the training canister . so hard to breathe in ! i didn't tighten my facemask so i can cheat abit; breathe the air outside lol . The lesson was quite fast uhh . Lesson learned - Breathe hard and Run !

Next was the 5 points of HazMat we need to learn . We didn't any practical for the first 4 cos senang kate not important to us lah hahaha . Last one gerek ! We wear the TLUS suit and did the HazMat exercise . Best thing about TLUS, u cannot communicate with ur buddy cos he can't hear u lol . so we have alot of teletubby mimes .

Basically we had to rescue 2 big johns, mitigate the spill and shut off the valve at lvl 2 . And the spill was from a 600litre oil drum . There's a technique for me but me and my buddy just used brute power to overturn the damn thingy !
Overview
- run towards the incident site with a stretcher and a overpack drum (super big drum)
- lift the casualty and put on the stretcher
- run back and forth to start point 2 times
- mitigate the spill (cover the oil drum, overturn it, cover back)
- again the casualty, run back and forth to start point 2 times
- run up to lvl 2 to shut off valve
- dash back to start point .

now that's some breathing ! hahahah . TLUS is lovess !

Friday
HazMat Responders Certification Test (HRCT)
Wadh we learned thru the 4days are tested today !
1. CA Donning Test
2. TLUS Donning Test
3. Detectors
4. Monitoring
5. Endurance Test

The main highlight was the endurance test . We couldn't overturn the drum . it's like extra heavy lah . even with the technique almost cannot up . we're like "fuck the timing, overturn this drum" . After 4-5 tries finally the drum can overturn . fuck the drum .

next week; BTM allll the way . Friday Heat & Humidity Test wahahaha GG !
